Treating neck problems is a great
challenge
The neck has a much greater influence on our health and well being
than most people are aware. It remembers all the shocks, bumps,
wrings, tensions and strains it has been subjected to during a
lifetime. It is also well worth noticing the psychosomatic aspects
of the neck. Many people’s reaction to stress can get stuck as neck
problems.
If you posses the skills to effectively treat neck problems – you
will never run out of clients! The neck remembers
everything!
The cervical spine has an ability to remember
every bump, twist, tension and misuse it has been subjected to
during a lifetime. No wonder so many clients have neck problems or
cervical headache.
Being able to offer a lasting reflexology treatment requires a sound
knowledge about the many factors involved with problems like:
• acute neck pain
• arthrosis
• recurring neck tensions
• slipped disc in the neck
• whip-lash injury

We also investigate other subjects related to
the cervical spine:
• facet joints and muscles
• importance of the sternocleidomastoid muscle
• nerve reflex points for the neck
• palpating cervicals, facet joints and muscles
• assessment of motility
• trigger points
• connections via the high cervical spine
• digestion issues and the vagal nerve
• breathing
• stress
Appreciating the important influence from the neck to other parts of
the body, will make neck treatment a natural part of any reflexology
session.
You will learn to apply techniques from
Classical Reflexology, Nordic traditions, Nerve Reflexology, trigger
points, tests and exercises.
With the workshop comes an extensive fully illustrated manual covering both
theory and practise.
The course will be conducted with a mixture of lecturing,
demonstrations and lots of practical hands-on work.
Continuing Training credits are available.
